Student Olympics
This year we are having our first ever annual Student Olympics! What does it consist of? On a voluntary basis, the boys and girls signed up to participate in a variety of challenges held throughout the school year.
The Student Olympics holds three competitions throughout the year. Our first call was made at the end of March and consisted of spelling words in Spanish. The second part is in June, it is focused on mathematics, specifically on the multiplication tables. We will finish in September with spelling words in English.
We have three participating groups with approximately five students each. Each group has a leader who prepares, encourages, and meets with them once a week. This year’s leaders are our teachers: Carlos, Johan, and Giordano. We love seeing the students’ enthusiasm to participate in this competition, and already we’ve seen relationships between the participants and their teachers grow.
Who will take home the grand prize? We don't know yet... But we are confident that every leader and participant is giving their best effort!
