Your willingness to sponsor a child in Bajo Tejares provides an opportunity to break the cycle of poverty one child at a time. You’ll receive a yearly photo and update from your sponsor child, plus have the opportunity to write them letters throughout the year. You can also send them birthday or Christmas gifts, and even meet with them and their families on a mission trip.

Building relationships with sponsor children has proven to be immensely successful for the entire community. As children grow into high school and adulthood knowing someone cares for them, is rooting for their success, and is actively involved in helping them move out of poverty boosts morale and aides in the overall growth of the community.

Through the sponsorship program, children are able to experience all FSM has to offer and the entire community benefits. They attend a Christian community center, where they receive individual assistance with homework and educational tools to thrive in their academic pursuit.

Our center has modern facilities, classrooms, a computer lab, and an extensive bilingual library. We have outdoor play areas for all ages, including two basketball courts, a soccer field, playground, and additional recreation area.  Ministry programs and special events are offered for all age groups throughout the year, including for family members and those living in the community.

The center staff provides counseling and coordination of community services as needed. Our college educated teachers work with the local schools to address any special needs of our children.
